As Badhaai Do turns two, Bhumi Pednekar feels sentimental and says, “Grateful for love, endless smiles.”

On Sunday, actor Bhumi Pednekar sent a thank-you card to mark the two-year anniversary of her romantic drama film Badhaai Do. Bhumi released a unique behind-the-scenes video of the movie to commemorate the event.

“Thankful for two years of love, support, and endless smiles!” she commented, sharing the video. #LoveIsLove #BadhaaiDo.” The actor’s admirers crowded the comment section as soon as she uploaded the video. “One of my favorite movies,” a fan said. A other user said, “Fun.”

Bhumi portrayed Suman Singh, a 31-year-old physical education instructor with a penchant for ladies, in the movie. To get away from the burden of their families, she marries Shardul Thakur (Rajkummar Rao), a police officer. When Rajkummar’s character comes out as gay, the plot really takes a turn for the worst.

The National Award-winning movie Badhaai Ho, which featured Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, and Sanya Malhotra in the key roles, was followed up by Badhaai Do, directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni.

In the meanwhile, Bhumi is getting praise for her role in Bhakshak. The film, which was produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, follows a resolute lady as she seeks justice. Bhumi is seen investigating a case of child sexual assault at a girl’s shelter home in Bhakshak.

Bhakshak, which is helmed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma, has an impressive cast that includes Bhumi Pednekar, Aditya Srivastava, Sai Tamhankar, and Sanjay Mishra. Netflix will begin streaming the movie on February 9.
