Dilip Kumar And His “Mates” Appear In A Throwback Video From Saira Banu, Taking Fans Down Memory Lane

Happy Friendship Day was observed on Sunday by Saira Banu, who posted a nostalgic video on her social media accounts. In the video, the late actor Dilip Kumar was seen interacting with a number of celebrities, including Sunil Dutt, Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Yash Chopra, Ashok Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dharmendra.

Friends were the source of Sahib’s happiness, the seasoned actress says in a lengthy caption. One could first see Sahib as an isolated tale surrounded by historical stories. However, tales of enduring friendships, companionship, joking, laughing, a carefree abandon, and brief moments of youthful nonchalance lived and thrived underneath this celebrity façade. In this film, a little portion of those happy times are shown, with a few memorable moments preserved in time. Sahib and his friends did not see friendship as something that was based on reciprocity or influenced by expectations. It was a heart-centered decision, as it should be. I’ll try to share experiences from Sahib’s life in the following days that attest to the close relationship he had with a select few. #FriendshipsDay

Saira Banu recently posted a nostalgic montage of some of the most memorable moments from Mughal-e-Azam. In addition to the montage, Dilip Kumar also gave a very special statement to commemorate the release of the colored version in 2004. Everyone’s attention was drawn to her message, however. No film in the history of Indian cinema, she said in the caption, “has left as deep an impact on fans’ emotions as “Mughal-e-Azam.” The visionary K. Asif’s magnum effort serves as a timeless example of the brilliance of Indian cinema. Sahib’s mesmerizing performance, whose depiction gave the movie a another depth of brilliance, is at the heart of it all.
