We Never Thought They’d Sit Together: Arbaaz Khan Remembers Salim-Javed’s Fallout

Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, a former writing team, have been communicating often through phone conversations, according to Arbaaz Khan, who has disclosed that the two have grown closer. Deewar, Sholay, Trishul, and Don are just a few of the legendary Hindi films from the 1970s that were written by the seasoned screenplay team Salim-Javed. Early in the 1980s, the pair broke up because their relationship had become toxic. Actor Arbaaz Khan, Salim Khan’s son, has recently spoken out about their relationship.

Arbaaz remembered their unpleasant argument and that they are now in a much better position. “They’re at a great place right now. As children, we never would have imagined that Javed Saab and Dad would ever be seated next to one another and engage in conversation. Javed saab phoned me that day and requested me to give him updates since dad wasn’t feeling well. He even requested that I set a time for him to see his father at home, according to Arbaaz, who spoke to Bollywood Bubble.

Javed saab came home, greeted him, and spent two hours with him, said Arbaaz. Everything feels amazing. A powerful healer is time. People undergo transformation, they forgive and forget, and they go on. And they create ties that are much stronger. They now speak often. Since dad is a bit older than Javed saab and they talk on the phone often, Javed saab is always inquiring about dad’s health. He replied, “Dad is doing much better today.

Arbaaz said that the families have always gotten along well despite Salim and Javed’s professional separation. “Whenever the kids or we have met Javed saab, we have always been extremely kind and considerate of one another. There has never been any hostility, rage, or attempting to convince the other of anything. Time is also a fantastic healer, he said.
