During Veergati, Salman Khan worked on his body all night long. Akhilendra Mishra says, “It was fantastic.”

Salman Khan and Bollywood actor Akhilendra Mishra collaborated in the 1995 film Veergati. Mishra is well recognized for his performances as Arjan in Lagaan and Mirchi Seth in Sarfarosh. In the movie, Akhilendra portrayed the antagonist and complimented Salman on his diligence, particularly his commitment to working out.

Theater veteran Akhilendra described Salman Khan’s dedication to Veergati as “astonishing” in an interview. All night, he worked on his physique. “Those who came from the theater, like ourselves, consider themselves to be extremely honest, and we are… However, I was very impressed by Salman Khan’s earnestness throughout the Veergati filming. He once spent the whole night working on his physique. It was the first movie in which he appeared completely nude. Before every shot, even at night, he would work out. The lighting would be adjusted by the cameraman to accentuate his muscles. It was wonderful to see a major actor being so genuine in his portrayal, the actor said.

“To ensure a flawless shot, Salman would lift weights all night long during the film’s climax, which was shot over several days,” the speaker said. Oh my goodness, it was amazing to see.

Despite Salman Khan’s best efforts, Veergati’s box office performance was lackluster. This startled Akhilendra, who said, “The film industry declared the film a flop.” Still, the movie remained in theaters for a full 100 days. I am not aware of the cause.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Bollywood star Salman Khan at his home on Tuesday afternoon, after gunfire outside the celebrity’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra neighborhood, a few days before. The Chief Minister told Khan and his family that their security had been boosted and reassured them that they would be secure throughout the visit.
