Elections to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly: Nandamuri Balakrishna Makes a Third Nomination from Hindupur

As the country is in the midst of the Lok Sabha elections, Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for its assembly elections, with candidates filing their nomination papers. Nandamuri Balakrishna, a well-known Telugu cinema actor and MLA for the Hindupur Telugu Desam Party, is running again from the same seat. He has already won this seat twice.

During a rally, Nandamuri Balakrishna, flanked by prominent party officials and his wife Vasundhara, came at the Revenue Divisional Office. There was a notable turnout of TDP, JSP, and BJP supporters for the occasion. Partygoers and admirers of the actor yelled “Jai Balayya” with enthusiasm. At the adjacent Suguru Anjaneya Swamy temple, Nandamuri Balakrishna and his spouse performed a special pooja before to the event. He declared his intention to run for the Hindupur seat a third time in a post-election interview with the media.

The actor-politician turned himself up to the Returning Officer at the Hindupur RDO office on Friday with his wife in tow as a TDP candidate. In the electoral affidavit, Nandamuri Balakrishna declared his assets and liabilities. Balayya’s properties are estimated to be worth Rs 81.63 crore, while his wife Vasundhara’s possessions are estimated to be worth over Rs 140 crore.

Based on information from their electoral declaration, Balayya owes around Rs 9 crore, while Vasundhara owes approximately Rs 3 crore.

Nandamuri Balakrishna addressed the media after submitting his candidacy, emphasizing the significant progress made in the Hindupur constituency. He placed a strong emphasis on finding solutions to problems like the drinking water crisis and building CC roads and culverts in different mandals and communities. 400 people were fed at Hindupur, he said, even though the YCP government had removed the canteens. Balakrishna conveyed his appreciation to the people of Hindupur for their great regard for the Nandamuri family.
