The news that Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav had received an extortion complaint for Rs 1 crore last year startled fans of the YouTuber. Elvish has recently disclosed startling information of the event, months after it happened.

Elvish Yadav recently spoke candidly about the extortion case on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast. The YouTuber said that when he was in London, someone sent him a lengthy WhatsApp message threatening to harm him unless he paid them Rs. 1 million.

“I have blocked calls on WhatsApp from individuals I don’t know. I am not available for calls. On WhatsApp, I got a lengthy message written in big characters. I assumed it was a female. However, it said, “Toh tujhe maar denge toh 1 crore rupay chahiye nahi.” For me, it was novel. “If plan A doesn’t work out, plan B will work out better.” Elvish spoke the words “I felt like he would definitely kill me” in Hindi.

The Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner went on to say that when one of his friends urged him to disregard it, he spoke to a few others. “I informed my brother about the message and the threat over the phone. He requested that I disregard it. “How can I ignore it?” I wondered,” he continued.

Later on, Elvish said, the extortionist granted him a “discount.” “This is the discount for chalo tumhare liye,” he remarked. Then he dropped to between 40 and 50 lakh. Then, Elvish wrote to me, “tu reply nahi kar raha hai, mujhe tere paise se gaadi khareedni hai.”

Elvish left soon after and went back to India, where he filed a police report that resulted to the man’s capture in six hours. “I made a late-night complaint. After then, it made news. Like a fire, it grew. However, our police are excellent; they apprehended the Gujarati guy in a just six hours. Officers flew there and took up the individual. An RTO agent, he was. The YouTuber said that “he got my contact number from my car’s registration.”
