Four films with four stars were released in October 2000, but this one with six debutantes was the clear winner

Four movies were released in October 2000, four of which included the most in-demand stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Govinda, and Suniel Shetty. Mohabbatein, Mission Kashmir, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai, and Aaghaaz were among these movies. On October 27, 2000, Mohabbatein was released, and it ended up being the most financially successful of these movies.

According to sources, this movie cost Rs 13 crore to make, and it made Rs 90 crore at the box office. Mohabbatein is famous for its uplifting collegiate romance scenes and melodic soundtrack. Additionally, Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj, Jimmy Shergill, Kim Sharma, Shamita Shetty, and Preeti Jhangiani made their debuts in the entertainment business.

Mission Kashmir, which was released on October 27, 2000, was the third-highest grossing movie that year. The overall revenue for this action drama movie was Rs 43.3 crore. A superb ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni, and others graced the movie.

On October 14, 2000, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai was launched; it was a commercial failure. In this Mahesh Manjrekar-directed movie, Govinda, Sonali Bendre, Rinke Khanna, Milind Gunaji, and other actors are included. The film’s mediocre humor failed to engage the audience. The movie was a remake of the Kannada and Marathi films Bangaarada Panjara and Ek Jeev Sadashiv.

Aaghaaz, starring Suniel Shetty, was a remake of the Kannada film Sivayya. The film, which was directed by Yogesh Ishwar, focused on Govind, an upright guy. When he ends up becoming an adversary of a brutal mafia clan, his life takes a dramatic change. After he stops one of the girls from being assaulted by them, something occurs. The main focus of this movie is how he handles the problems that arise. Aaghaaz garnered negative reviews and did not get the positive reception that Mohabbatein and Mission Kashmir did.
