Huma Qureshi begins filming Gulabi, her next film, in Ahmedabad

As she prepares for her next film, Gulabi, Huma Qureshi is making headlines once again. This comes after the success of her well loved web series, Maharani 3. The actress, who would be playing an auto-rickshaw driver in the next movie, is reportedly in Ahmedabad for the filming.

The upcoming movie starring Huma Qureshi, who has previously been in a few notable productions including Gangs of Wasseypur, Dedh Ishqiya, Badlapur, and Monica, O My Darling, will focus on women. On Instagram, the actress revealed a sneak peek. The actress from Ek Thi Daayan is seen in the picture sporting bindi on her forehead, a patterned saree, and black thread around her neck like a necklace. She is seen carrying a placard that says, “Muhurat Shot.” The message said, “Gulabi has arrived! Filming is now underway.

Her admirers and peers showered her with love and support in the comments area. “Kill it,” actress Bhumi Pednekar wrote. Actress Patralekhaa from Citylights said, “My sister.” Anisha Padukone, the sister of Deepika Padukone, posted a series of arm emojis that represented strength. “Congratulations and all the best!!” said a fan. With excitement, a different admirer said, “I am waiting eagerly for Gulabi.”

Gulabi, directed by Vipul Mehta, tells the tale of an autorickshaw driver. When the movie was initially revealed on International Women’s Day, her followers were giddy with anticipation. Gulabi is based on the true story of a courageous autorickshaw driver who inspired several other women and went on to become a symbol of change. Producer Vishal Rana said in an interview how excited he is to begin filming Gulabi in Ahmedabad. The initiative wants to provide a tale that people will find interesting. He continued by saying that Huma is once again prepared to work her magic on the big screen, having previously shown her exceptional acting abilities throughout her career.

Regarding her career, Huma Qureshi was most recently seen in Tarla, which was based on the well-known chef Tarla Dalal. Alongside Sharib Hashmi, Bharati Achrekar, Bhawana Somaaya, and Amarjeet Singh, it was directed by Piyush Gupta.
