In the upcoming film Devara: Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, actor Shruti Marathe—known for her roles in Marathi films such as Rama Madhav, Taptapadi, and Bandh Nylonche—will be starring with Janhvi Kapoor and Jr. NTR. The actress discusses her filming prep and working with other actors in a conversation. Takeaways from the conversation:

Shruti tells us about working with a large crew on her Telugu project: “I am excited to be a part of a movie with such a huge star cast. We are now filming the movie, which will be released in the second part of this year, in which I portray Jr. NTR’s wife. When we question the actress about how she prepared for the part, she responds, “I still struggle with the language,” laughing, adding, “I mug up my lines because I don’t know how to speak Telugu.” I get the screenplay in Devnagari from the creators, and even if I make mistakes, the prompter on set corrects my lines.
