Box office receipts from the re-release of “Ghilli”: Vijay’s action star makes more money than the Titanic did in India

The re-release of Vijay’s huge hit film “Ghilli” in theaters is getting a positive reception. The movie just marked 20 years since its first release, and Tamil Nadu is hosting a kind of jamboree for its rerelease. The rerelease is bringing in a healthy sum of money at the box office.

‘Ghilli’ has made about Rs 25 crore in its ten days after its re-release, according to Cinetrak, while the movie has taken in around Rs 19 crore domestically.With this accomplishment, the re-release of “Ghilli” has become the highest-grossing film in Indian history, surpassing the re-release of “Titanic” (which brought in Rs 18.5 crore). Prior to this, “Ghilli” became the highest-grossing Indian film among re-releases, surpassing the “Sholay” re-release collection.

Following its re-release, “Ghilli” has become an irresistible force among fans of all ages who are seeing the movie again. A number of celebrities have also seen Vijay’s film in theaters, and images and videos from the celebration of the film’s re-release, “Ghilli,” have gone viral online.

Dharani directed the 2004 film “Ghilli,” which starred Prakash Raj, Trisha, and Vijay in the key parts. “Ghilli” became the first film to make Rs 50 crores and was the greatest success in Tamil cinema at the time of its original release. “Ghilli” is the Telugu version of the Tamil film “Okkadu.”
