Jungkook of BTS sobs as she remembers being compared to major K-pop companies, saying, “I felt so small.”

BTS members have revealed their much-awaited documentary series, BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, while serving in the military. On December 20, the first two episodes of the series debuted on Disney Plus. The show explores a number of difficult and sensitive facets of the members’ life, such as J-Hope’s thoughts of giving up, Suga’s desire to flee, RM and Jimin’s ongoing speculation over BTS’s future, and more. Jungkook openly shared in the first episode that he felt small in comparison to bigger agencies.

Jungkook fights self-doubt in a touching BTS documentary series.
The group’s golden maknae, who is now a worldwide music superstar, revealed an emotional moment in which he recalled a time when he felt “little” in comparison to other groups. At the time, BTS was having trouble winning accolades; instead of receiving praise, they were hearing about other singers on stage who seemed insignificant. According to Jungkook, “I felt so small as I listened and made those comparisons, and I think the beginning of our debut was harder before we debuted. A talented artist was singing, and I could hear them through my in-ear monitor and they were on another level compared to me.”

BTS’s documentary series highlights their difficult times.
Bighit was having financial difficulties at the time, and BTS’s videos for Danger and Boy With Luv were consistently falling off the rankings. Jimin was disappointed even though they had won their first prize, saying, “Today, I became an adult.” I had hoped that winning an award would make things better for us, but no such luck. Like previously, we are worn out from overworking ourselves.

When J-Hope considered working with a different agency
J-Hope had considered signing with another agency because she was unsure about BTS’s future. But after his birthday, he realized that even though he wanted to quit, he was unable to go to another agency since the members had grown to be like family to him. I had been living with my pals for more than two years at that point. Given the situation, I was seriously considering my future. Should I make my debut with a different company? Should I rejoin my buddies and return to my previous company? He said although he knew in his heart what the precise response was. But there was a very distinct response. All I did was put my confidence in my pals. Something about the location made me feel more at peace.

Review of BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star
The documentary series BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star adeptly captures every nuance and sentiment surrounding the group’s formative years. Even though they are now regarded as the biggest celebrities in the world, there was a period when pressure and fear prevented them from signing new contracts. Due to excessive labor, several members thought about quitting completely. Financial and psychological difficulties were also common. But one thing never changed: the fan base’s everlasting devotion to their heroes, which propelled BTS forward and helped them succeed.
