‘Kalki 2898 AD’ by Nag Ashwin will be released on May 9; sources
Prabhas starrer mythological sci-fi entertainer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is one of the most awaited films, directed by Nag Ashwin. It is a pan-India film that includes some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry with Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamala Haasan and Disha Patani in the lead.
According to the latest buzz rumours swirl about a new release date, with June 27th said to be the chosen day, though there has not been any official confirmation from the makers.The release date of the film was earlier locked to be on May 9th, 2024, though the makers have now postponed the date due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the country keeping in mind the business end of the project.
Recently, the makers also shared a teaser about an upcoming announcement today on 27 April, where more information about this star-studded film must be learned. A few days ago the makers also introduced Amitabh Bachchan’s character in the film, which is ‘Ashwatthama’ son of Drona which was superbly received by the fans, especially the de-aged version of Amitabh Bachchan that appeared on the screen.
Prabhas will be playing the role of Bhairava, anticipated to be Kalki’s alter ego.
The movie is known to be a mythological sci-fi film that has a timeline of 6000 years as announced by the director, Nag Ashwin. The movie begins from Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD.
