Karan Johar’s apartment was NOT occupied by Imran Khan: “I’ve been living here for the past five years since I moved into this space.”

In a recent speech, Imran Khan laughed at rumors that he and his partner had rented an apartment in Karan Johar. According to recent reports, Imran Khan, along with his girlfriend Lekha Washington, was moving into director Karan Johar’s home. During an interview with Film Companion, Imran laughed off these rumors and explained why he left his late grandpa Nasir Hussain’s opulent Bandra, Mumbai, mansion.

“I moved to this house where I have lived for the last five years, ever after I broke up with them. I started by entering what was left vacant. And I started bringing things in to outfit my room according to my requirements,” Imran said. He said that his needs consisted of a TV, a couch, and three dishes. He said he used to wash his own utensils and use a vacuum cleaner to clean his area.

It was about disengaging from those extraneous accoutrements. You start to acknowledge your desire for the things you’ve been told you want. And it has to do with figuring out what makes me happy, really. I have discovered that life has been much easier these last several years. I wanted my own place. My goal was to manage and supervise it on my own. Again, it was a feeling of, ‘Can I do all of this without participating in the extraneous activities?'” Imran continued.

He said that while he cooks his breakfast, he gets the other two meals from his mother’s house. Furthermore, he said that he also cuts his own hair. It was described as “borderline pathological” behavior by him.

In terms of his professional appearances, Imran most recently starred in Katti Batti (2015). Since then, he has taken a break and is thinking about making a comeback in the business.
