Meet the celebrity who worked on Sholay and is charging Rs 150 crore for his next movie; it’s neither Dharmendra or Amitabh Bachchan

Few Bollywood superstars, like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Dharmendra, and Mohanlal, have been able to maintain their popularity and fame despite the fact that many have attempted. These performers have not only seen the pinnacles of success but have also changed with the times to fit into the movie industry.

Naturally, these performers want a hefty fee for their roles in every movie they do, in addition to other services. We’re going to tell you about a 68-year-old Indian actor who starred with Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra in the legendary film “Sholay,” directed by Ramesh Sippy. This actor is now asking for Rs 150 crore for his next project.

Here, we are discussing none other than South superstar and seasoned actor Kamal Haasan. The actor said that he served as an assistant director on the “Sholay” sets at the San Diego Comic-Con. “For those who have nostalgic memories of Sholay, let me say that when I viewed it that evening as an assistant director, I was unable to go to sleep. I detested the movie so much that I also detested the director. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ co-star Prabhas, director Nag Ashwin, and producer Aswani Dutt were also present at the occasion. “And I had the opportunity to work with that great filmmaker and I told him that was my reaction when I saw the film,” he added.

According to News18, Kamal Haasan is presently working with S Shankar on the “Indian” sequel, and he is demanding an astounding Rs 150 crore for this action thriller.

“Indian 2,” which is expected to be one of the biggest films of 2024, will also have important parts for Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, and others.

Media sources claim that Kamal Haasan is worth an incredible Rs 700 crore. Regarding his career, Kamal Haasan’s next film is “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, along with “Indian 2.” He reportedly demanded Rs 40 crore for the movie.

For those who don’t know, Kamal Haasan acted in his first film as a youngster, “Kalathoor Kannamma,” in 1960. Over his career, he has been involved in over 230 movies.
