Celebrity starlet Anushka Sharma and star Indian batsman Virat Kohli revealed on Tuesday that they welcomed a child into their family on February 15. In a social media post, Kohli and Anushka, who already have a three-year-old daughter named Vamika, announced the arrival of their second child, Akaay. There have been rumors about Virat Kohli’s whereabouts as he hasn’t played in over a month. With a social media post, the former captain of the Indian cricket team put a stop to the rumors.
“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world!,” Kohli said on Instagram.
“At this wonderful moment in our life, we ask for your blessings and well wishes. At this moment, we humbly ask that you respect our privacy.”
The congratulations began to come in after the announcement. “We are happy for Virat and Anushka on the birth of Akaay, a priceless member of your lovely family! May the brightness of his name brighten every space, and may he bring you boundless happiness and laughter. Cheers to the journeys and experiences you will always treasure. Sweet little champ, welcome to the world!” on his X account, Sachin Tendulkar wrote.
