Nominees for Best Series OTT at the Pinkvilla Screen & Style Icons Awards include Farzi and The Railway Men

Excited anticipation is in the air as the much-awaited Pinkvilla Screen & Style Icons Awards 2024 draw near. The star-studded event will return for a third time on March 18, 2024, at Taj Lands End in Mumbai, after two spectacular editions. There’s never been more excitement as guests get ready for what looks to be an incredible evening.

The candidates for every category have already been revealed as the days leading up to the esteemed awards event are rapidly approaching. We are excited to share the nominations for the Best Series OTT category in this post, which includes Farzi, The Railway Men, Kaala Paani, Taali, Asur 2, and Scoop.

Winners of the Pinkvilla Screen & Style Icons Awards: OTT Series Nominees

1. Raj and DK are the creators of the dark humor series Farzi: The show explores the fascinating realm of counterfeit money and stars Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, and Raashii Khanna in an ensemble cast. This eight-part series, which debuted in 2023, received favorable reviews from both reviewers and viewers.

The protagonist of the story is Sunny, played by Shahid Kapoor, an aspiring artist struggling with India’s extreme poverty. With his faithful companion Firoz at his side, Sunny takes a perilous detour into the world of counterfeit money in an effort to maintain his grandfather’s printing machine. But their goals collide with those of powerful mobster Mansoor.

2. The Men in the Railways
The Railway Men are the next candidates. It’s a gripping miniseries with an amazing ensemble that includes, among others, R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu, Babil Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Mandira Bedi. This four-part documentary, created by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra of YRF in association with Netflix, illuminates the valiant actions of a group of railway workers during the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

When The Railway Men was released in November 2023, it was met with immediate praise from critics and began to get attention from a global audience. It has been praisingly accepted and has been at the top of worldwide charts for over three months. It has also made history by continuously being in the Top 3 on Global Top Shows.

3. Kaala Paani
The compelling series Kaala Paani, which takes place against the background of an unexplained ailment plaguing the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, comes next on our list of contenders. A desperate search for a cure coexists with a frenzied struggle for survival as the residents struggle with the fatal epidemic.

In addition to Mona Singh, Ashutosh Gowariker, Amey Wagh, Sukant Goel, Vikas Kumar, Arushi Sharma, Radhika Mehrotra, Chinmay Mandlekar, and Poornima Indrajith, the first season of Kaala Paani has an amazing ensemble cast.

4. Asur 2.
Widespread praise was bestowed upon the first season of Asur, which starred Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, Anupriya Goenka, Sharib Hashmi, and Riddhi Dogra, for its engaging plot and endearing cast of characters.

With a cliffhanger at the end, viewers were left excitedly awaiting the next installment. Picking up where Season 1 left off, Season 2 digs further into the case’s aftermath and examines the emotional and professional challenges the CBI agents involved experienced.

With its unpredictable plot that had viewers on the tip of their seats, this gripping series is a strong candidate to be named the greatest OTT series.

5. Scoop
The captivating series Scoop, which stars Karishma Tanna, Harman Baweja, and a gifted ensemble cast, is the next candidate on our list. The show revolves around the terrible murder of a journalist, which thrusts a crime reporter into the murky depths of the Mumbai underworld, a complicated network of police investigations, and a media frenzy.
