‘The Freelancer’ Director Bhav Dhulia claims that Mohit Raina is the ideal choice for the role

According to director Bhav Dhulia, he searched far and wide for the ideal main actor for the gripping thriller series “The Freelancer,” looking for someone with an international flair, strong physical presence, and significant audience appeal. So, in his opinion, was actor Mohit Raina the “ideal fit” for the part.

For the series, Avinash Kamath must experience a range of emotions, therefore Bhav required his main actor to be versatile.

“Mohit Raina is an extremely versatile actor and fits into any role effortlessly,” Bhav remarked in reference to the hiring of Mohit. Mohit portrays the role of Avinash Kamath, a guy who travels from India to Europe and the Middle East and explains how he got to be a freelancer.

“We needed someone who can portray a sharp and smooth character who goes toe to toe with Terrorists, CIA, MOSSAD, and other international players,” he added. “We needed someone who can come across as rooted and grounded in Mumbai, and someone who can portray a sharp and smooth character.”

“We also needed someone who can pull off the action pieces across different terrains and landscapes,” the director said after praising Mohit’s performance as “brilliant.”

Shirish Thorat’s novel, “A Ticket to Syria,” served as the inspiration for the TV show. The book makes an effort to describe the nefarious activities of the Islamic State and how the terrorist organization has mastered a cross-country operation that recruits thousands of people to a vile cause.

Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey is the showrunner and creator, while Friday Storytellers is the production company. A Wednesday, Special 26, Baby, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, and other movies are among his most recognized works.

The story of “The Freelancer” centers on an extraction operation where a girl is kept hostage in the harsh, war-torn country of Syria and her escape from the afterlife.

‘The Freelancer’, directed by Mohit Raina and starring Kashmira Pardeshi and seasoned actor Anupam Kher, will debut on Disney+ Hotstar on September 1.

Additionally, it has important parts for Sushant Singh, John Kokken, Gauri Balaji, Navneet Malik, Manjiri Faddnis, and Sarah Jane Dias, among others.
