The Watchers Trailer: A Supernatural Survival Horror Film Marking Ishana Night Shyamalan’s Directorial Debut

It’s finally here: the trailer for Dakota Fanning’s forthcoming movie, The Watchers, which is directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan in her feature film debut. The movie is an adaptation of Irish writer AM Shine’s gothic horror book of the same name. Oliver Finnegan, Georgina Campbell, and Dakota Fanning will co-star in the main part.

The Watchers teaser is here!
The video, which lasts about three minutes, begins with Mina (Fanning) telling her parrot to “try not to die,” which he then begins to repeat. As it continues, Mina, a 28-year-old artist, and her pet bird seem to be marooned in a wilderness full of bizarre occurrences and terrible surroundings. An elderly lady named Madelene (Olwen Fouéré) then offers the two refuge and tells Mina about the enigmatic roaring beasts that prowl the forest at night. At that moment, a stranger warns Mina, “No one see one, and survives.” Mina naturally attempts to flee and get out of the eerie woods at that point.

The film is directed by Ishana, the director’s daughter and debutant, and produced by renowned thriller filmmaker M Night Shyamalan. As co-producers, Ashwin Rajan and Nimitt Mankad have given the budding filmmaker considerable assistance. The Watchers, a novel by AM Shine that was published in 2022, is adapted into the film. The soundtrack was composed by Polish composer Abel Korzeniowski.

“A young artist gets stranded in an extensive, immaculate forest in western Ireland, where, after finding shelter, she becomes trapped alongside three strangers, stalked by mysterious creatures each night,” is how the official IMDb summary of the movie puts it.
