Must-Watch Telugu Thrillers on OTT: A wealth of captivating Tollywood films are available on platforms such as JioCinema, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar. It’s challenging to choose the top Telugu thriller films from the OTT platforms since they have some of the best in a variety of genres. In any case, this list can help you choose if you’re a thriller enthusiast looking for Telugu films to like.

Top Telugu criminal thriller films to watch:

Cold Case (Visual Premiere)
Prithviraj Sukumaran and Aditi Balan play the key roles in Tanu Balak’s Malayalam-language criminal thriller, which was written and directed by Sreenath V. Nath. Pooja Mohanraj, Anil Nedumangad, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Anand, and Rajesh Hebbar play supporting roles. The story follows the concurrent investigations of a paranormal murder case by investigative journalist Medha Padmaja (played by Aditi) and IPS officer M. Sathyajith (Prithviraj), whose paths finally cross.

Netflix’s red
Alongside Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma, Amritha Aiyer, and Ram Pothineni in a dual role, the film is directed by Kishore Tirumala and produced by Sri Sravanthi Movies. It centres on a murder investigation in which the main suspects are a construction engineer and his twin. Mani Sharma wrote the soundtrack for the film Red, which also featured editing by Junaid Siddiquii and photography by Sameer Reddy.

HIT: Prime Video’s The Second Case
Directed and written by Sailesh Kolanu, it is the follow-up to ‘HIT: The First Case’ (2020) in the HIT Universe. Adivi Sesh, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Rao Ramesh play important parts in the film. The protagonist of the tale is Krishna Dev (Adivi), a member of the Homicide Intervention Team of Andhra Pradesh. KD, who has a reputation for finishing murder cases in five minutes, thinks poorly of criminals and believes they are stupid. His perspective is challenged, however, when a particularly graphic case comes across his desk.

Amazon Prime Video: Evaru
The leading roles in the film are played by Adivi Sesh, Regina Cassandra, Naveen Chandra, and Murali Sharma. Venkat Ramji directed it; Pearl V. Potluri, Param V. Potluri, and Kavin Anne produced it. “Evaru,” a Warner Bros. Pictures production, is a rough remake of Oriol Paulo’s 2016 Spanish film “The Invisible Guest.” The plot centres on unscrupulous police officer Vikram Vasudev, who investigates an apparently simple case of a lady murdering her rapist. Sricharan Pakala wrote the soundtrack, while Garry BH handled the editing.

Netflix’s “Game Over”
Under the direction of Ashwin Saravanan, YNOT Studios and Reliance Entertainment produce the movie. In it, Taapsee Pannu plays a PTSD-affected lady defending her house from a mysterious invader. Concurrently filmed in Tamil and Telugu, the movie also had Hindi dubbing and was directed by Anurag Kashyap. The dialogue was written in Telugu by Venkat Kacharla and Tamil by Ashwin Saravanan and Kaavya Ramkumar. Ron Ethan Yohann is the composer of the musical score.

Author (MX Player)
Samuthirakani and Hari Krishnan featured in the first film, which was written and directed by Franklin Jacob and has music by Govind Vasantha. The narrative centres on a writer assigned to a police department who becomes mixed up in an unlawful custody case involving a Ph.D. candidate who is not guilty. On December 24, 2021, the film had its theatrical debut and received positive reviews.
