Pakistani link found in case of bomb threat at Ahmedabad school

On May 10, Ahmedabad officials announced on Friday that the Crime Branch has discovered a Pakistani connection to the bomb threats that targeted 38 schools in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on May 6.

According to the authorities, the event is connected to Pakistan, and the city was instilled with dread and terror via the use of a Russian server. The threat email came from a domain registered in Russia (.ru). We are waiting for further details.

The people were deeply shaken by the threatening emails they got one day before the Lok Sabha elections on May 7.

Soon after the threats, Ahmedabad Police, the Crime Branch, the Cyber Crime Branch, and the Special Operations Group began an inquiry. Although the threats were concerning, bomb disposal teams and canine units conducted extensive checks and found no suspicious or explosive items.

Vikas Sahay, the director general of police, has said that the threats were untrue and urged voters to cast their ballots without fear.

This event is part of a pattern of fictitious threats that have been received by more than 130 schools in the Delhi-NCR region.
