Work is underway on the Bengali original series “Paashbalish.”
Paashbalish, a new Bengali romantic thriller, was just revealed by ZEE5. In this original series, which is directed by Korok Murmu, the main cast members are Ishaa Saha, Sourav Das, and Suhatro Mukherjee.
Paashbalish, a seven-episode film produced by Mahabahu Motion Pictures, tells the story of Chandu, who falls out of love with Anchol when she is young but finds a way back into her life without Anchol realizing he is the same guy she knew from her youth.
Paashbalish is an exciting romantic thriller with subplots including drug smuggling, human trafficking, survival, and love. It is set against the background of a historic rivalry between two clans on the Tin Bigha corridor: the Bengalis and the Paharbongshis.
Director Korok Murmu said, “Paashbalish has strong undercurrents of the intricate legal inter-country difficulties and the age-old animosity between the two clans — the Bengalis and the Paharbongshis — existing there. It is heavily anchored in the Tin Bigha corridor on the West Bengal-Bangladesh border. Ultimately, however, Paashbalish is a tale about love, fidelity, and the will to defend those you love no matter the cost. With so many stories and subplots, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
