$19.6 billion is lost to Ukraine’s tourism and culture due to war: PM

According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine’s culture and tourist industries have lost at least $19.6 billion as a result of the country’s protracted conflict with Russia.

According to Xinhua news agency, Shmyhal said on Thursday that 900 historical and cultural landmarks in Ukraine have been destroyed or damaged during the conflict.

According to him, Kiev intends to establish a unique registry of the damaged tourist and cultural establishments, which will serve as a means of ascertaining the quantum of recompense that Moscow must provide.

He claims that $8.9 billion is required for the restoration of cultural and tourism assets in Ukraine.
