At Gaza’s Al-Maghazi refugee camp, a strike resulted in 13 deaths and several injuries

According to CNN, which cited Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital authorities, an attack on an Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza on Tuesday resulted in at least 13 deaths—seven of them were children—and over 25 injuries. According to CNN, a gruesome video that was acquired from eyewitness Nihad Owdetallah showed many victims lying on the ground. Numerous individuals seem to be frantically scurrying around, yelling and attempting to count and gather the dead corpses.

Speaking with CNN, camp resident Owdetallah said that on Tuesday, between 30 and 40 meters away, he heard an explosion at about 3:40 p.m. (local time). He said, “I immediately walked to see what happened and found dead bodies thrown on the ground.” He reported hearing screams and seeing dead children on the ground.

The emergency room at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital was packed with patients when footage was obtained for CNN. It shows victims and wounded people being carried in. According to a CNN story, family members were gathered close to the deceased loved one’s body, sobbing and clinging to them.

A hospital mortuary’s film depicts families attempting to identify their departed loved ones. “This is my son,” Fatmeh Issa reportedly screamed, gesturing to a white corpse bag that revealed a little boy’s wounded face, as CNN reported. “They have nothing to do with anyone!” said a second guy. They are members of the public. Please be kind to us. Children are being killed by you. You are murdering kids who were ambling down the street in peace, not an army or combatants.”

He is shown on a video giving another guy the lifeless corpse of a little child. Her body was given to a guy who claimed her as his daughter. “This is my oldest daughter, Lujain. She is nine years old,” he stated. While they were playing on the street, they were struck by a strike. All of them are only kids.” People were calling out for their loved ones outside the hospital, appearing upset. Before the bodies were removed to be buried, dozens of people prayed for them in the yard, according to a CNN story.

UN Women estimated in a study released on Tuesday that since the conflict between Israel and Hamas began in October, over 10,000 women had died in Gaza, CNN said. “Six months into the war, 10,000 Palestinian women in Gaza have been killed, among them an estimated 6,000 mothers, leaving 19,000 children orphaned,” the CNN report said.

Over a million Palestinian women and girls in the Gaza Strip are reportedly suffering from “catastrophic hunger,” with almost no access to running water, bathrooms that work, clean drinking water, or food, posing a serious danger to their lives. It went on to say, “Every ten minutes, a youngster is hurt or passes away. According to the Israel Defense Forces, they have been making an effort to minimize damage to Gaza’s civilian population.
