‘Dozens’ of missiles launched against the Israeli Army headquarters in the north, according to Hezbollah

Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas, said on Monday that it had retaliated against operations hitting towns in southern Lebanon by firing “dozens” of Katyusha rockets at an army headquarters in northern Israel.

The Israeli army and Iran-backed Hezbollah have been engaged in almost daily cross-border gunfire since Hamas’s historic onslaught on Israel on October 7 that sparked the Gaza War.

The Lebanese Shiite terrorist organization has increased its cross-border strikes on Israeli military targets as tensions between Iran and Israel reach an all-time high.

Hezbollah claimed credit for the bombardment of “the headquarters of the 3rd Infantry Brigade of the 91st Division at Ein Zeitim Base with dozens of Katyusha rockets” in an official statement.

This was in reaction to strikes that Israel had just carried out in Srifa, Odaisseh, and Rab Tlatin, targeting “southern villages and civilian homes.”.

Israeli attacks on the three communities were reported on Monday by Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA).

No casualties were recorded, according to the Israeli military, which said that “approximately 35 launches were identified crossing from Lebanon into the area of Ein Zeitim in northern Israel.”.

It said that “troops struck the sources of the launches.”.

According to an AFP count, at least 376 people have died in Lebanon since October 7, the majority of them Hezbollah members but also 70 civilians.

On its side of the border, Israel reports that eight civilians and ten troops have died.
