In the MCU, is Wilson Fisk taking over for Thanos? What We Know Is As follows

Fans are anticipating the release of the next Marvel series Echo. Based on Joe Quesada and David Mack’s comic of the same name, Marion Dayre created Echo. The series is the official yet unofficial continuation of Jonathan Igla’s 2021 television series Hawkeye, and it is set to debut on Disney Plus on January 9. In addition to Alaqua Cox, who portrays the series’ lead character Echo, sometimes known as Maya, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk and Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock will be making comebacks. Marvel producer Brad Winderbaum made a suggestion on whether Vincent’s Wilson Fisk may play the main antagonist of the MCU, Thanos, in the next miniseries in an interview with Screen Rant.

The interviewer said to Brad Winderbaum that Wilson Fisk seemed to be “the Thanos of this street-level corner of the MCU” throughout the exchange. Brad gave a clue that the interviewer was headed in the correct direction in his answer. “I have few words to say. Just that this is a significant chapter in Wilson Fisk’s life and it lays the groundwork for some amazing ways for what’s to come,” he said. Wilson Fisk, popularly known as The Kingpin, is expected to play a significant part in Echo that will pave the way for his character development in upcoming MCU television shows and motion pictures, according to Brad’s statement. The evolution of the MCU franchises will be significantly impacted by the adversary.

Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, will first appear in Hawkeye and then in Echo and Daredevil: Born Again. Comicbook.com reports that a common belief among Marvel fans is that the MCU plans to return to the Defenders world and storyline, as originally shown by Netflix, and that Wilson Fisk would act as the connecting element between the other New York City-based Marvel programs.

As of right now, Phase 6 of the MCU has no confirmed TV shows. Phase 6 is presently slated to begin on May 2, 2025, with Fantastic Four, and conclude on May 7, 2027, with Avengers: Secret Wars. During those two years, it would be excellent to debut a few of Marvel’s Defenders.

Alongside Graham Greene as Skully, Devery Jacobs as Bonnie, Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez, Tantoo Cardinal as Chula, and Chaske Spencer as Henry are also featured in Echo. The protagonist of the show is Echo, who in order to go on with her life, must overcome her past, reestablish her connection to Native American culture, and comprehend what it means to be a family and a member of one’s community.
