Instagram has a global outage as users get frustrated with app crashes and glitches

Instagram, a well-known mobile photo-sharing app owned by Meta, had a major outage that prevented users from using the program’s features. Users from all around the globe poured in with complaints about online functions being interrupted, sign-in problems, difficulties, and app crashes. Users expressed their frustration with the unexpected interruption on social media, notably Twitter.

The outage first became apparent in India at 9 pm IST, according to the monitoring website Down Detector, with a notable increase in reported incidents around 11 pm. The most impacted users were those in Bengaluru, Delhi, Lucknow, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The effects of the outage, however, were felt beyond of India, with reports stating that Australia, Brazil, Canada, the UK, and the US all experienced comparable problems.

At the time of this writing, Instagram Comms, the official PR account for Instagram on Twitter, has not yet issued a formal comment addressing the outage. Users who depend on the network for picture sharing and communicating with friends and followers are irritated by the disturbance.
