Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu denies the accusation of genocide against Israel, labeling it as “outrageous”

NEW DELHI: Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, called the accusation of genocide against Israel “outrageous” and said that “decent people everywhere should reject it.”

Following the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) ruling on South Africa’s genocide allegations against Israel, the Israeli prime minister responded. He said, “The charge of genocide levelled against Israel is not only false, it’s outrageous, and decent people everywhere should reject it.”
“On the eve of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, I again pledge as Prime Minister of Israel – Never Again,” said Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Israel will not give up its defense of itself against the murderous terrorist group Hamas.”
Israel’s commitment to upholding international law and to continuing to protect “our country and defend our people” have been underlined by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Like every nation, Israel has the inherent right to self-defense,” he said. It is obvious prejudice against the Jewish state to seek to deny Israel this basic right, and it was rightly rejected.”
In a recent decision, the International Court of Justice in The Hague mandated that Israel take the appropriate steps to stop the genocide in Gaza. The court did not, however, order an immediate cessation of hostilities.
By a vote of 15 to 2, the court made its judgment, and Israel was told to submit a report to the court within 30 days.
Netanyahu said, “On October 7, Hamas perpetrated the most horrific atrocities against the Jewish people since the Holocaust, and it vows to repeat these atrocities again and again and again.”
He said that Israel is not waging war on Palestinian people, but rather on Hamas as a violent organization. “We will continue to facilitate humanitarian assistance, and to do our utmost to keep civilians out of harm’s way, even as Hamas uses civilians as human shields.”
“We will continue to do what is necessary to defend our country and defend our people,” he said.
