Suicide bombing in Karachi, Pakistan; five Japanese people escape unharmed

In a suicide bombing on Friday in the Pakistani province of Sindh, as many as five Japanese nationals almost missed being hurt.

According to East Azfar Mahesar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), terrorists on a motorcycle made an attempt to damage the Japanese nationals’ vehicle close to Murtaza Chorangi in Landhi.

“Everyone, the five Japanese, was safe. The private security officer who was accompanying them, however, was hurt, he claimed. He stated, “The Japanese nationals were traveling from their home in Zamzama, Clifton, to the Export Processing Zone.”

Two terrorists attempted to attack the vehicle carrying the Japanese nationals and two security guards, according to Dawn News, which was informed by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) DIG Asif Aijaz Shaikh.

According to the official, one terrorist was slain by the security officers, while another detonated himself to try to approach the vehicle. DIG Shaikh said, “All five of the Japanese nationals are safe.” The DIG said that “no one has claimed responsibility so far” and that the automobile transporting the Japanese citizens was bulletproof.
