The Guinness World Record is broken by China’s Harbin Ice-Snow World Theme Park

The largest temporary ice and snow theme park in the world, Harbin Ice-Snow World in China, was recently recognized with a major honor from Guinness World Records. This annual festival in Harbin, Heilongjiang, has astonished visitors with its frosty wonders since it began in 1999.

The park’s most recent iteration has the official endorsement of Guinness World Records. It spans an enormous 8,790,697.3 square feet, which is significant for transient theme parks.

More than 2,000 expertly crafted ice and snow sculptures in this wintry paradise captivate the imaginations of guests. The fact that this frosty extravaganza was created over the course of more than a month by a massive crew consisting of over 10,000 builders emphasizes the park’s brilliance.

“The largest ice and snow theme park (temporary) measures 816,682.50 square meters and was achieved by Harbin Ice-Snow World (China) in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China, on December 31, 2023,” according to an official release from the Guinness World Record. Over 10,000 workers needed nearly a month to complete all of the ice and snow facilities and sculptures.”

At the China Ice and Snow Tourism Development Forum 2024 in Harbin, a certificate was given to Chinese authorities by an assessor for the Guinness World Records.

Northeastern China’s Harbin, the provincial capital of Heilongjiang, is a thriving metropolis home to more than 5 million people. This intriguing city is well-known for its distinctive fusion of Russian and Chinese elements and has a rich history and culture.
