Trapped in Thailand: The Noida Scrap Mafia, Who Accumulated ₹ 120 Crore

Located in New Delhi: On Tuesday, sources inside the Thai government said that scrap metal kingpin Ravi Kana and his fiancée Kajal Jha had been apprehended. A thug from western Uttar Pradesh named Kana was sought by the Noida Police on various counts.

Rumor has it that the Noida Police were in continual contact with the Thai Police and had provided them with all the information they needed on Kana. In January, he was also served with a red corner notice.

Further investigation led to his arrest on January 2 by the Greater Noida police under the severe Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act.

Kana, alias Ravindra Nagar, allegedly oversaw a group of sixteen people who engaged in the illicit purchase and trade of rebar and scrap metal.

According to reports, Kana, a former scrap dealer, amassed a fortune of over a million dollars after he and his accomplices extorted companies in the Delhi-National Capital Region into buying and selling scrap metal illegally.

The criminal and his cohorts have been the subjects of over eleven cases, all of which include allegations of theft and abduction. Several of the group’s scrap godowns in Greater Noida have been blocked, and six gang members have already been apprehended.

More than ₹ 120 crore worth of Kana and his colleagues’ assets were recently attached, according to the Noida Police.

The criminal had given his lover Kajal Jha a ₹100-crore South Delhi home, which the Noida Police had searched and sealed earlier in January.

Kajal Jha first contacted the mobster about a job offer, but she ended up becoming the most valuable member of the gang after joining. Accounting for all of his Benami holdings was her responsibility.
