US: Six Hospitalized after California Bar Shooting Leaves Five Dead
US media claimed on Wednesday that up to five people may have been murdered in a shooting at a bikers’ pub in Orange County, California.
According to information cited by CBS Los Angeles, six additional individuals were in hospitals after a retired police officer opened fire at the pub.
The Orange County Sheriff said there were several casualties in a post on social networking website X, previously known as Twitter. The Sheriff’s office, however, had no more information.
According to the CBS story, the incident occurred at the bikers’ pub Cook’s Corner in Trabuco Canyon, and there is now a significant police enforcement presence there.
Deputies shot the gunman, according to US media sources, although the shooter’s health remained unknown.
The Orange County shooting was being watched, according to the California governor’s office. As additional information becomes available, “We are monitoring the shooting in Orange County and are coordinating with local officials,” the X post said.
