The man’s combative actions and altercation with other passengers and personnel were captured on camera, which went viral. As the guy continued to yell insults and rain fists at other passengers and workers, a little child traveling with her mother is shown in the video searching for protection and displaying signs of fear.

As flight attendants attempted to calm the customer, who was sporting a green and white striped Celtic Football Club jersey, he was observed violently throwing fists at them. The New York Post and the Daily Record have reported that he was heard yelling, “You’re a f—ing f—y,” as he pointed at another passenger.

According to the allegation, the individual started disturbing other passengers as soon as the aircraft left Edinburgh.

“An air hostess had to keep him down for a good twenty minutes before it all started. When someone learned the outcome of the Celtic match, there was a cheer in the front of the aircraft. The Daily Record cited a witness as stating, “He just lost it when another boy told him he was a disgrace to the [Celtic jersey].”

In the Scottish Cup, Celtic recently defeated Aberdeen and made it to the championship game.

In Europe and many other countries where football is a religion, hooliganism and the football ultras culture—where certain fans would stop at nothing to support their teams—are commonplace.

However, some of these groups of supporters, who identify with their particular football teams, have also found themselves embroiled in scandals due to incidents of racism, vandalism of public property, assaults on players from the teams they support, and altercations with rival ultras.

There was also an empty 24-ounce bottle of vodka discovered by crew members, indicating that the passenger—a football hooligan—was also intoxicated.

The little child was seen looking for solace on her mother’s lap while the guy visibly alarmed other passengers.

In a another video, the guy can be heard screaming a football song while being taken away in handcuffs and suffering from facial scratches.

Easyjet acknowledged the altercation and said that police were summoned inside the aircraft to remove the unruly customer. The crew members of EasyJet are skilled in scenario assessment and evaluation, as well as prompt and suitable action to guarantee that passenger safety is never jeopardized. A representative for the airline said, “Although these situations are uncommon, we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behavior.”
