On September 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Gujarat to announce projects worth Rs 4,500 crore in the education sector and speak to a crowd at Bodeli, a town in the tribal-dominated Chhotaudepur district.

An official announcement said that he will speak at a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit that was being held at Science City in this city later that day.

According to Vinod Rao, secretary for elementary and secondary education, the PM will dedicate or lay the cornerstone for a number of projects at Bodeli before speaking to a large crowd. These initiatives are part of the state government’s “Mission Schools of Excellence” campaign.

The PM introduced the “Mission Schools of Excellence” during a ceremony in Adalaj in October of last year with the goal of raising the quality of instruction in the region by modernizing school facilities, constructing new, advanced classrooms, and adding computer laboratories.

“On September 27, the PM will either launch or lay the groundwork for a number of projects totaling Rs 4,500 crore at Bodeli as part of the Mission Schools of Excellence. According to Rao, these initiatives will result in the construction of computer laboratories, smart classrooms, and additional classrooms across the state.

According to Rao, the PM will also introduce a number of new educational initiatives during the event, including the Mukhya Mantri Gyan Setu and Mukhya Mantri Gyan Sadhna Merit Scholarships, Raksha Shakti Schools, and Swami Vivekananda Gyan Shakti Residential Schools.

The state government would invest Rs 10,000 crore over the next five years to fund all 35,133 public schools and 5,847 grant-in-aid institutions as part of the Mission Schools of Excellence programme.

The administration had previously said that these monies will be used to establish 50,000 new classrooms, 1.5 lakh smart classrooms, 20,000 new computer laboratories, and 5,000 tinkering labs in the state’s 41,000+ government and grant-in-aid schools.

The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, with the theme “Gateway to the Future,” will take place in Gandhinagar between January 10 and 12 of the following year, according to a state government announcement.

According to the press release, PM Modi founded the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in 2003 when he was the state’s chief minister in an effort to position Gujarat as a leader in commerce and industry internationally.
