11 J&K residents pass the UPSC Civil Services test

The results of this year’s Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Service examinations were released by the Commission on Tuesday. Eleven applicants from Jammu & Kashmir made the cut.

According to the UPSC announcement, 1,016 applicants passed the Civil Services examination this year, with Aditya Srivastava of Uttar Pradesh topping the selection list. Anmol Rathore, a 24-year-old resident of the Doda area, placed seventh overall in the test. She also did quite well in the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Examination (JKCSE) 2022, and she is now training at the Jammu-based Revenue Training Institute.

With the exception of a few mock exams and the UPSC Mains test series, which she attended in Delhi, Anmol claimed to have finished her education at home. “Otherwise, I have independently prepared utilizing the internet resources. As long as their energy is directed properly, I believe that the young people in this area have a ton of promise,” she said.

Arjun Gupta, a different contender from the Kathua district, is ranked 32nd on the list. This year, Manan Bhat from the Srinagar area has achieved the 88th place. He had previously received 231 AIR and qualified for the civil services test. Bhat is an IPS officer now serving in the Telangana cadre.
