Anant Ambani: Animal lover and proponent of green energy, ahead of pre-wedding festivities with Radhika Merchant
The pre-wedding ceremonies of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Reliance Foundation founder and chairwoman Nita Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani with entrepreneur Viren Merchant’s daughter Radhika Merchant are set to take place in Jamnagar from March 1-3. Excitement is in the air.
Since September 2022, Anant has been a member of the Reliance Foundation Board in addition to her roles as a director on the boards of Reliance Industries Ltd., Jio Platforms Limited, Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, Reliance New Energy Ltd., and Reliance New Solar Energy Ltd.
The Ambani scion is propelling Reliance Industries’ worldwide activities in renewable and green energy as well as the growth of the company’s energy and materials sectors. He is in charge of Reliance’s effort to achieve net carbon zero status by 2035. In the USA, Anant graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Brown University.
From a very early age, Anant has also been very concerned about animal welfare, and she is now working in a number of programs related to animal rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, and conservation.
This love of animal preservation is also evident in his pre-wedding activities, where guests will take part in A Walk on the Wildside and are advised to dress in “jungle fever.” It is scheduled to take place outside at the Ambanis Animal Rescue Center in Jamnagar, and attendees are asked to dress comfortably.

In January 2023, Anant and Radhika tied the knot in a customary ceremony at the Antilia family home in Mumbai. Their wedding is scheduled for later this year in Mumbai.
