Class 3 Tuition at Gurgaon School Costs Rs 30,000 Per Month; Father’s Post Raises Concerns

In the modern world, paying for tuition at prestigious universities is becoming harder, especially for the middle class and the impoverished. Although the school usually provides a clear explanation of its tuition price system on the first page of the journal, there are times when this is not the case. A Gurgaon parent recently spoke on X about his son’s annual school price increase. The user shared a post on X in which they discussed how parents and guardians are finding it more difficult to keep up with the quickly rising cost structure.

The user tweeted that the school has not provided an explanation for the cost increase and that parents who object are told to find their children another school. “My son’s tuition has continuously increased by 10% each year. The additional charge just shows up on the payment app, and the school doesn’t even try to explain why it was raised! Parents who objected said, “Please find your children another school!”.

The parent discloses in a subsequent section of the article that his kid is now enrolled in Class 3 at a reputable Gurgaon CBSE school. “This article really touched a sensitive spot! My kid attends a reputable CBSE school in Gurgaon, where he is in Grade 3. Monthly school expenses are Rs. 30,000, which include meals (but not the bus). His post states, “If this keeps compounding at 10%, it will be almost Rs. 9,00,000 a year when he’s in the 12th grade.” More than 700 comments and more than 1,000 retweets have been made on the post so far.

“I believe the following factors contribute to the astronomically expensive tuition that private schools in India charge: PVT schools are unregulated; they are large companies that strive for financial gain.; The difference between supply and demand is enormous. Most parents only have one child, so they want to give it all they’ve got. Government schools are truly awful. The idea of homeschooling hasn’t taken off in India yet, a user said.
