Meet the lady who failed her sixth-grade class yet succeeded in passing the UPSC test on her first try with AIR

One of the hardest tests in India is the UPSC Civil Services Exam. In order to become IAS officials, thousands of UPSC aspirants sit the test every year. But few of them are able to clear the UPSC exam and get employment as IAS officials. This article will talk about IAS Rukmani Riar, who placed second in the UPSC test on her first try.

Rukmani Riar had not done well in class six and was not a very talented kid. Rukmani completed her schooling in Gurdaspur and went on to study in class 4 at Dalhousie’s renowned Heary School. Rukmani Rair, an IAS official and graduate of Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, specializes in social science. She completed her social science master’s degree from the Tata Institute in Mumbai.

After graduating from TISS Mumbai, Rukmani worked as an intern for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) including Ashoda in Mysore and Annapurna Mahila Mandal in Mumbai. Rukmani decided to take the UPSC test because he developed an interest in public service while working for the NGO.

In 2011, Rukmani passed UPSC on his first attempt and received an AIR 2. She opted not to enroll in tutoring after passing the UPSC via solo study. From sixth to twelfth grade, she relied on NCER books and read journals and newspapers on a regular basis.

There are applications for Rukmani’s success story outside of the classroom and competitive exams. It is a tale of the triumph, tenacity, and resilience of the human spirit. Many individuals who are experiencing challenges are inspired by her tale of turning a failed Class 6 test into an All India Rank in the UPSC exam.
