Recipe for Asian Barbecued Ribs

Components

– Two racks of 4-5 pounds of pork ribs
– Half a cup soy sauce
– 1/4 cup of sauce hoisin
Four minced cloves of garlic; one-fourth cup honey; two teaspoons of rice vinegar; two tablespoons of sesame oil; two tablespoons of grated ginger;
– One teaspoon powdered Chinese five spice
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for added spice) – 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– As a garnish, chopped green onions and sesame seeds

Asian Barbecue Recipe: How to Make Them

First, prepare the ribs. If the back of your ribs have a membrane, slide a knife beneath the membrane and peel it off. Although it’s not necessary, doing this helps the ribs absorb more flavor.
– To make the racks of ribs simpler to manage while cooking, cut them in half.

2. Prepare the marinade: In a bowl, mix the rice vinegar, honey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, chopped garlic, Chinese five-spice powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if used).
– About half of the marinade should be set aside for basting the ribs as they cook.

3. Marinate the Ribs: Put the ribs in a shallow dish or a big plastic bag that can be sealed.
– Make sure the ribs are uniformly covered by pouring the remaining marinade over them.
– For optimal results, refrigerate the dish or bag for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. To make sure the ribs marinate evenly, turn them over from time to time.

4. Set Up the Grill – Turn the heat up to medium-high, or 350–400°F/175–200°C. Create a two-zone fire with direct and indirect heat if you’re using charcoal.

The fifth step is to grill the ribs. Take them out of the marinade and throw away the marinade.
– After putting the ribs on the grill, sear them for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are beautifully browned.
– Transfer the ribs to the grill’s indirect heat side and brush them with the marinade that was set aside.
– Once the ribs are cooked through and tender, close the grill cover and cook them for one to one and a half hours. Once every twenty minutes or so, baste the ribs with the marinade.

6. Serve the Ribs: After the ribs are cooked, move them to a chopping board and let them a few minutes to rest.
– Cut the ribs in half lengthwise and place them on a dish.
– If preferred, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
– Serve the ribs hot and savor the mouthwatering aromas of this amazing Asian BBQ!
