– It is not recommended to buy or drink alcohol on Amavasya. Bad energy is attracted to alcohol use and may follow the drinker and their family for a very long time.

– Purchasing pooja supplies, gathering tulsi leaves, picking grains and flours, getting married, and engaging in other auspicious ceremonies should all be avoided on Amavasya.

– Amavasya day is also mentioned in Hindu traditional traditions as a day to eliminate bad luck and vibrations. Amavasya is dedicated to “pitru,” which means that if one want to pray for and get blessings from deceased family members, they must conduct Shradh.

– It’s believed that feeding fish balls made of wheat flour and cows five different fruits would bring wealth and plenty into their lives.
