When Tattva Bar & Cafe opens, it invites guests to savor a wide range of delectable and cozy flavors from many cuisines. Situated in Andheri, Mumbai, this modern restaurant creates a unique gastronomic and sensory experience while honoring the harmonious interaction of the five elemental forces: earth, wind, water, fire, and space.
Five masters in their fields—Akanksha Saigal, Nishant Desai, Prajakta Jain, Shraddha Nayak, and Varun Sudhakar—are the creators of this institution. Every co-founder has contributed their knowledge to Tattva, creating an environment that is both enchanting and transforming.
“We created Tattva Bar & Cafe with the intention of providing an experience that transcends simple dining—it’s about celebrating life itself,” says Tattva Bar & Cafe Director Shashank Shetty. “We’re thrilled to finally open our doors and share our vision with the world.”
With a wide variety of meals that honor life’s subtleties, Chef Akanksha Saigal’s culinary voyage at Tattva goes beyond simple nourishment. Tattva Bar & Cafe serves a wide range of food, from mouthwatering appetizers like crispy zucchini fries and tender chicken croquettes to small plates filled with flavors like pandan seabass, truffle edamame hummus, and basil chicken tikka.
Along with handcrafted clay oven pizzas and pasta, huge meals like Chicken Smoked with Rosemary, Cottage Cheese Steak, and Prawn Curry are a flavor explosion, offering gastronomic discoveries with every mouthful.
Inspired by the misdeeds of humans, Chef Prajakta Jain created a dessert buffet with an enticing variety of flavors and textures. Quite Luxury (Greed), Mirror Mirror (Pride), One Night Stand (Lust), and other delectable selections are some of the specialty meals; each is seductive in its own devilish manner.
Varun Sudhakar from Bar Bundle has also skillfully crafted Tattava’s inventive cocktail menu. Inspired by the materials found in nature, every cocktail is a work of art unto itself.
Every sip is a sensory journey, from the fiery appeal of the Phoenix, loaded with passion and smoke, to the refreshing tones of Fluid, which whisks you away to a tropical paradise. Discover the wacky fun of Umame and Pop Quiz, the earthly coziness of Penicillin, and the celestial beauty of Thanos.
The mocktail menu has refreshing options including Pop, Kokum, and Neon for those who want a non-alcoholic treat.
One further thing that sets the bar menu apart is the care with which these exceptional drinks are made. Every technique, from smoking and clarifying to adding shrubs and more, adds a level of nuance and complexity that raises the bar for the drinking experience.
House music provides a rhythmic pace to the décor, which was styled by Shraddha Nayak and designed by interior designer Nishant Desai. The thought-provoking background of the wall of human emotions, which portrays a range of emotions like greed, love, and jealousy, is enhanced by the exquisite artwork that depicts the phases of the moon. This piece symbolizes the passage of time and gives the room an air of ethereal beauty.
