The six Shaktipeeths in Himachal were visited by around 12 lakh devotees

The Chaitra Navratri celebration finished on April 17 with up to 12,83,535 devotees from all across the state, as well as from Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi, paying their respects at six Shaktipeeths.

Up to 4,90,000 worshippers attended the Bala Sundari Temple in the Sirmaur district, while 3,33,100 worshippers visited the Chintpurni Temple in Una, according to police reports. Similar numbers of worshippers were present at Naina Devi Temple in Bilaspur (1,98,355), Jwala Ji Temple (1,22,400), Chamunda Devi Temple (88,000), and Brajeshwari Devi Temple (51,680) in Kangra.

During the Chaitra Navratri celebration, a total of 1,14,860 vehicles—61,126 two-wheelers, 48,362 light motor vehicles, and 5,372 heavy motor vehicles—visited these places.

Chief of Police According to Sanjay Kundu, the Himachal Pradesh Police has taken sufficient precautions to ensure the devotees’ safety and security.
