A lady, 23, commits suicide
On Thursday, a lady in Jagraon committed suicide by hanging herself at home. The deceased has been named Jashanpreet Kaur, a 23-year-old inhabitant of Jagraon’s Karnail Gate neighborhood. She and Lovepreet Singh were married.
Using a dupatta, she hanged herself from the fan. The neighbors discovered the mother hanging when they went to investigate after hearing the child’s screams. This is how the event was discovered.
The corpse was moved to the municipal hospital morgue as soon as the police arrived on the scene.
The deceased’s spouse worked at a food shop, therefore, the family claimed that they had to take the drastic measure due to financial difficulties. The couple’s miserable situation was brought on by their little income. Her spouse abandoned her at his sister’s Zira home due to money troubles. But on Thursday, she came back and did the drastic thing in her Jagraon home.
After recording the victim’s testimony, ASI Sukhwinder Singh, the in-charge of the bus stop police station, said that more legal action will be taken in the matter.
