A man arrested for attempted murder

Nashik: Rahul Chafalkar was taken into custody by the city police commissionerate’s crime branch (unit 2) on April 8. He was sought in connection with a murder attempt that had been reported to the Upnagar police station.

Chafalkar and ten of his associates were the targets of the police report.
“Rahul Chafalkar and his 10 accomplices had come to my residence on April 7,” the complainant said.

They had a quarrel earlier that day, so they assaulted me with sharp weapons.
“Chafalkar and the complainant are relatives,” the police said. Chafalkar and his pals were unnecessarily intervening in a dispute between the complainant and his father, so on April 7, the complainant drove them out of the home.

Enraged by this, Chafalkar and his cronies returned to the complainant’s residence later that day and used sharp weapons to assault him.
After receiving information about Chafalkar’s movements on Sunday, authorities took him into custody.
