A traffic advisory has been issued for Guwahati ahead of PM Modi’s visit today. Review The Routes To Avoid

Guwahati: Ahead of PM Modi’s arrival to the city, the Guwahati Traffic Police issued an advisory and implemented traffic restrictions. For the sake of commuters traveling on the route where PM Modi would do his electoral roadshow, a traffic advisory has been issued for Guwahati.

According to the alert, on April 16, 2024, from 3 PM to 10 PM, traffic on NH-17, which passes through Guwahati City, as well as DG Road, MG Road, B. Barooah Road, GNB Road, and GS Road, would be limited.

On April 16, 2024, from 3 PM to 10 PM, slow-moving cars and carts would not be allowed on D G Road, MG Road, B. Barooah Road, GNB Road, or G S Road.

Beginning at 3 PM, all ASTC and Private City buses will also be controlled as they travel from LGBI Airport to Khanapara via NH-17, DG Road, MG Road, B.Barooah Road, GNB Road, and GS Road.

Guwahati movement Police also said in the advice that starting at 5:00 PM, cars from both sides shall travel on a single track along GS Road leading from ABC Point to the Assam Legislative Assembly Rotary. After that, however, vehicular movement in this area will not be permitted.

Himanta Biswa Sarma on the Visit of PM Modi

Schedule for the Assam Lok Sabha Election of 2024
Notably, beginning on April 19, there will be seven phases to the election for the 543 Lok Sabha seats. In the general election, over 97 crore citizens are eligible to cast ballots. June 4 is when the votes will be tallied.

Assam’s 14 Lok Sabha seats will be up for election in three stages on April 19, April 26, and May 7. On June 4, the counting will occur.
