AAP lawmaker become fabulist: BJP

On Saturday, Virendra Sachdeva, the head of the Delhi BJP, said that Cabinet Minister Atishi had turned into a fabulist who often told falsehoods. He claimed that the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government had written the liquor policy in collusion with cartels that controlled the liquor trade and increased wholesale traders’ commission from 2% to 12% in order to secure kickbacks for the party in order to meet the financial requirements for the Goa and Punjab elections of 2022. The BJP leader went on, “The money was taken in cash for the two states and spent during elections.”

“Every morning when Atishi wakes up, her tirade sparks a fresh political storm. The myths that she continues repeating about the liquor fraud were all brought up in court by Kejriwal, Sachdeva added, and the courts have dismissed them all.

He went on to say that Atishi need to respond to the question of why the government retracted the liquor policy so quickly after the CBI was asked to look into it, if there were no anomalies.
