Watch as Ravindra Jadeja recreates the IPL 2023 winning moment as CSK returns to Ahmedabad

The victorious moment of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) final will surely live on in the memories of every Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fan forever. Ravindra Jadeja showed off his inner beast in the last two deliveries of a thrilling evening in Ahmedabad, as he secured a remarkable victory against the Gujarat Titans. Jadeja erupted into a wild celebration after pulling off the win with a few breaths left.

Mohit Sharma, a GT pacer, had struck Jadeja’s pads with a low full-toss. With a good read of the line, the southpaw batted through the short, fine leg to clear the boundary. The legendary Narendra Modi Stadium will host a league-stage match between CSK and GT on Friday night. Ahead of the match, the all-around star was observed reenacting his winning lap from the previous year.

Jadeja was seen on Thursday repeating the shot that won the IPL 2023 championship during a practice session. He raised his bat, hit an imaginary ball in precisely the same manner, and began sprinting around the field while glancing toward the bleachers.

“Ohh Jadejjjaaa” was the description for the video that was posted on Chennai Super Kings’ official Instagram account.

Chennai Super Kings tied the record set by their bitter rivals, the Mumbai Indians, with their sixth IPL triumph, thanks to a valiant effort by Ravindra Jadeja. That was MS. Dhoni’s last season leading the Yellow Army. Dhoni was replaced as captain by Ruturaj Gaikwad before the IPL this year.

CSK had a strong start to the season under the youthful captain. But the reigning winners were unable to sustain the momentum for too long. Now that they have lost a couple key games, the defending champs are in a difficult position. To guarantee a postseason berth, they need to win their last three games. After 11 games, CSK now has 12 points.
