AAP sources quote Delhi CM’s letter to Tihar superintendent about “Arvind Kejriwal asking for insulin on a daily basis.”

According to AAP sources, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal contacted the superintendent of Tihar prison on Monday, stating that he has been requesting insulin on a regular basis due to a rise in blood sugar levels.

He also disagreed with the prison administration’s assertion that the chief minister’s health was not a cause for concern, according to AIIMS physicians.

According to the sources, he accused the prison administration of “lying” in response to “political pressure” in a letter he sent to the superintendent on Monday.

The administrators of the Tihar prison did not respond right away.

The Tihar administration made a statement on Sunday stating that they had scheduled a video conference between Kejriwal and leading experts from AIIMS on April 20. During the meeting, neither Kejriwal nor the physicians brought up the topic of insulin.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claims that Kejriwal, who has diabetes, has not been given insulin by the Tihar administration. In addition, the group claims there is a “conspiracy” to “kill” him.

According to a party source, Kejriwal wrote to the superintendent of Tihar prison, expressing his anger after seeing the jail officials’ comments in the media.

He said in the letter that he has been requesting insulin on a regular basis and that the claims made by the Tihar administration are untrue. His blood sugar levels increase three times throughout the day and range from 250 to 320, according to an AAP source.

He said in the letter that the physicians at AIIMS had not stated there was no need to be concerned.

The insider said, “The doctors had stated that they would evaluate the scenario based on the history and facts on Kejriwal’s illness.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Tihar authorities said that Kejriwal received guidance from prominent experts at AIIMS during the video conference on April 20.

“Kejriwal was informed that there was no serious concern and was advised to continue with the prescribed medicines, which will be evaluated and reviewed on a regular basis,” a prison official had said during a 40-minute in-depth session.

On the request of Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of the chief minister, the Tihar Jail administration arranged the video chat. In addition to a hospital senior expert, medical authorities from the Tihar prison were also available for assistance.

According to the source, Kejriwal gave the AIIMS expert a comprehensive record of his use of the CGM (Glucose Monitoring Sensor), along with specifics on his food and medications.

The official went on, “Kejriwal did not bring up the topic of insulin, nor did the doctors recommend it.”

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Kejriwal on March 21 in relation to a money-laundering investigation involving the Delhi government’s since-canceled excise scheme. Since April 1, he has been detained in Tihar prison.
