Sihag, the JJP MLA, backs the BJP candidate in Hisar

The crisis inside the JJP, which has Naina Chautala from Hisar as its candidate for the Lok Sabha, intensified when JJP MLA Jogiram Sihag declared her support for BJP candidate Ranjit Singh in the Hisar seat.

In addition to the Uchana Assembly segment in Jind district, which is represented by former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, the Hisar parliamentary constituency has four JJP MLAs: Sihag from Barwala Assembly constituency, Ram Kumar Gautam from Narnaund segment, and Anoop Dhanak from the Uklana Reserved segment in Hisar district.

But because Gautam and the party had already broken apart, Sihag’s choice has dealt the party an additional blow. Despite being party faithful, Uklana MLA and former minister Dhanak were also absent from the campaign because of ill health. In support of his mother, Naina, Dushyant has been out campaigning.

Speaking to the workers during the farmers’ movement, Sihag declared his opposition to the three agricultural legislations. On the other hand, he said that he was a JJP member and would stick with the BJP administration.
