According to PM Modi, “India-Middle East-Europe Corridor Will Become the Foundation of World Trade for Centuries”

The corridor connecting India, the Middle East, and Europe will support global commerce for the foreseeable future, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and history will remember that India had the idea for it.

Modi mentioned the “Silk route,” an old trade route that India utilized when it was a powerful and successful trading nation, in his monthly Mann ki Baat address. He also claimed that India suggested the India-Middle East-Europe economic corridor during the most recent G20 Summit.

He said, “History will always remember that this corridor was initiated on Indian soil, and this corridor is going to become the foundation of world trade for hundreds of years to come.”

He said that the two achievements have appeared most often in the communications he has gotten from people. He claimed that the summit’s success, followed by India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission’s success, quadrupled every citizen’s satisfaction. He said that when India was successful in getting the African Union admitted to the G20, the world recognized its leadership. The prime minister said that Bharat Mandapam, the site of the G20 Summit, had become a “celebrity” and that visitors had been taking photos in front of the cutting-edge conference hall.

No one will ever forget seeing world leaders paying respects at Mahatma Gandhi’s tomb at the G20 Summit, he added, noting that it demonstrated how his principles are still relevant on a worldwide scale since his birth anniversary is on October 2. With the commencement of the “Swachhta hi sewa” campaign by the Union government departments, Modi expressed his delight at the many cleanliness initiatives scheduled to commemorate his birth day.

He invited people to participate in the exercise in their neighborhood or any other public space on October 1 at 10 am, noting that a significant cleaning program would be organized at that time.

He urged people to purchase some khadi goods, saying that doing so would be a real homage to Gandhi ji.

Noting that September 27 is World Tourism Day, he said that goodwill plays a significant role in luring travelers and that tourism is supposed to provide the most jobs with the least amount of investment.

Over the last few years, he said, India has gained more international goodwill, and during the G20 summit, more than one lakh foreign delegates visited various regions of the nation to experience its variety, cuisines, and history.

“The wonderful experiences that the delegates who came here have carried back with them will further expand tourism,” he said.

The recent designation of the Hoysala temples of Karnataka and Santiniketan, the city associated with Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, according to Modi, is a source of great pleasure.

There are now 42 of these sites in India, and the nation is working to have additional locations connected to its culture and legacy recognized as World legacy Sites.

Before the festival season began, he urged people to remember to “vocal for local” and purchase “Made in India” goods.

“You should consume Indian products, purchase things created in India, and exclusively give created in India items as gifts, if at all feasible. Your little delight will end up giving someone else’s family great joy. Any Indian products you purchase will directly support our laborers, employees, craftsmen, and other skilled tradespeople, he said.

In his speech, Modi expressed satisfaction with the manner that students participated in the G20 summit.

Numerous institutions around the nation hosted G20-related events all year long.

“In this series, the ‘G20 University Connect Programme’ will be followed by another interesting event in Delhi. Numerous esteemed universities, including the IITs, IIMs, NITs, and medical schools, will also take part. You must view this presentation on September 26 if you are a college student and sign up. I will be there personally,” he said.

Modi stated that “More than 80 lakh people watched this incident on ISRO’s YouTube Live Channel; which is a record in itself” as he praised Chandrayaan-3’s accomplishments. This illustrates how deeply Chandrayaan-3 is loved by millions of Indians.

He said that Indian music and culture had now gone worldwide. He shared a little video of a 21-year-old German lady named Kasmi while stating that people’s curiosity with them is growing daily.

He praised her and stated that while Kasmi, who is visually handicapped, has never gone to India, she has always been enthralled by its music.

The most inspirational thing about her, according to him, is that she is a note-perfect singer in all of the Indian languages, including Sanskrit, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, and Urdu.

In the event, the prime minister also commended a group of Nainital students for founding the “Ghoda Library,” which aims to provide books to kids living in rural areas so they may read books on moral instruction in addition to schoolbooks and poetry.

Akarshana Satish, an 11-year-old Hyderabad student in class 7, runs seven libraries for kids, he added, citing instances of individuals striving to conserve pigeons and other animals.

He pointed out that people had banded together in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal area to resuscitate the Sot river.

“The path of duty, you too can become the medium of many such changes around you,” stated Modi.
