According to the AAP, Sarath Reddy contributed the BJP Rs 60 crore but the ED did nothing about it

Sanjay Singh, an AAP member of the Rajya Sabha, attacked the BJP on Saturday, claiming that while it had taken Rs 60 crore from one of the defendants in the “so-called” liquor scam case, the Enforcement Directorate had done nothing about it.

Singh claimed at a news conference held here that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including himself, Manish Sisodia, and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, have been detained in the liquor scam case without any proof.

“Electoral bonds were used to donate Rs 60 crore to Sarath Reddy, who the ED called the liquor scam’s mastermind in its charge sheet. However, Singh said that the agency did not take any action against anybody in this case.

Reddy and the BJP did not respond to this right away.

Singh said that on November 15, 2022, Reddy donated Rs 5 crore to the BJP after his apprehension in connection with the liquor scam case. Reddy was granted release on May 8, 2023, after a six-month incarceration. The AAP MP said that in the days that followed, Reddy donated Rs 50 crore to the BJP using electoral bonds.

Singh also said that Reddy gave the BJP a partial donation of Rs 5 crore in 2022 before to his arrest.

He said that the ED searched Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal’s home shortly after the electoral bond information were made public on March 21 and it was discovered that the BJP had accepted money from Reddy.
